The new services for entrepreneurs, recent graduates and innovators include mentorship opportunities, business advice, product testing space and access to world-class prototyping and manufacturing equipment. Recently we awarded to Tiras Dairies Inc. of Camrose $250,000 to upgrade and improve their production processes. Owner Emmanouil Georgantelis forsees an opportunity to increase productivity and provide benefits to local milk producers as he increases purchases from them. Alberta food processing is value-added and just another way businesses in Alberta will prosper. We are making life better for senior Albertans as we continue the $1.2 billion capital plan for construction of senior housing projects of which some 29 are currently underway. We have also decided that despite the former federal Conservative government’s underfunding for kids at risk on Alberta reservations we will be providing more money and services for these children. We also are providing $87,000 for the Louis Bull First Nations for their Housing Operations project. The County of Camrose will receive $457,000 for the New Norway Lagoon Rehabilitation; $732,000 for road rehabilitation between the Hamlets of Round Hill and Kingman; $3,405,000 for work on the Township Road 480 from Highway 834 to Range Road 201; as well as $700,000 for general road upgrades as they see fit. The Ministry of Culture and Recreation is providing the Rose City Curling Club $125,000 for hosting the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling in 2018.
